Industrial handling vehicles are widely utilized in ports, railway stations, airports, freight yards, factory workshops, warehouses, circulation centers, and distribution hubs. They perform the loading, unloading, and handling of palletized cargo within ship holds, railcars, and shipping containers, serving as indispensable equipment in both palletized and containerized transport systems.

Forklifts play a pivotal role within corporate logistics systems, acting as the backbone of material handling equipment. They are extensively deployed across various sectors of the national economy-including railway stations, ports, airports, factories, and warehouses. The development of the forklift gained significant momentum during World War II. China began manufacturing forklifts in the early 1950s. Notably, driven by China's rapid economic expansion, material handling operations in most enterprises have evolved beyond rudimentary manual labor, transitioning instead to mechanized handling systems spearheaded by forklifts. Consequently, over the past several years, demand within China's forklift market has consistently experienced double-digit annual growth.

Given the multitude of forklift brands available on the market and the complexity of the various models-coupled with the highly technical and specialized nature of the products themselves-enterprises seeking to make a purchase frequently face challenges regarding model selection and vendor selection. This article focuses on addressing these issues by examining key aspects such as model selection, brand selection, performance evaluation criteria, and the contribution rate of my country's forklift industry to overseas markets.
