On August 12, the press conference for BAUMA China 2026 (International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines, Construction Vehicles and Equipment) was held in Shanghai, officially announcing a major upgrade for this year's edition - the debut of the "One Show, Two Halls" model, with co-located exhibitions at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (November 23–26) and the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (November 24–27).
As the bellwether of the Asia-Pacific construction machinery industry, this year's BAUMA China will reach a record-breaking total exhibition area of 400,000 square meters, bringing together an estimated nearly 4,000 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions to showcase cutting-edge technologies and products across the entire industry spectrum.
Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München GmbH, stated at the press conference: "The launch of the 'One Show, Two Halls' model is a significant milestone for BAUMA China. It not only reflects strong demand from exhibitors amid the continued growth of China's construction machinery industry, but also aligns with the industry's major transformation toward intelligent, green, and high-end development."
Under the dual-hall model, the two venues will operate with unified quality standards and exhibition frameworks, with staggered show dates:
- Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC): Positioned as the core platform for the full construction machinery industry chain, featuring large-scale complete machines, mining and building material equipment, construction vehicles, components, and other traditional strengths.
- Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC): Focused on future technologies and industrial ecosystems, hosting key concurrent forums and dynamic product demonstrations.
To ensure a seamless visitor experience across both halls, the show will implement a unified ticketing system - one pass for both venues - supplemented by high-frequency complimentary shuttle buses and dedicated service staff for smooth inter-hall connectivity.
